Fan is making noise
Your ceiling fan is experiencing noise during operation? Follow these troubleshooting steps.
If your fan is experiencing noise, you could have an issue with a portion of the installation process. Common sources of noise are loose blade seatings, incorrect blade seat matches, housing and trim alignment, or instabilities in the fan mount or junction box.
Verify Installation: (Refer to installation guides – Available under product on support page)
- Make sure all mounting hardware is secure and tight.
- Make sure the stabilizer is installed at the top of the extension tube and is seated in the correct position.
- Make sure the mounting ball at the top of the extension tube is properly seated in the mounting bracket with the rib in the mounting bracket seated in the slot in the mounting ball.
- Bring the fan to a complete stop. Gently turn the airfoils by hand, making sure there are no trim or housing pieces rubbing on the motor unit when the fan rotates.
- If guy wires were installed, confirm proper installation. If guy wires were not installed, contact Technical Support.
