Remote Not Controlling Fan
Is your Standard IR Remote not controlling your fan? Follow these steps to troubleshoot.
- Make sure the ceiling fan is receiving power. Check your circuit breaker or fuse panel and wall switch for functionality.
- Test your IR remote’s signal. You can also watch our video here How To Test Your IR Remote Signal.
- Point the infrared transmitter at the top of the remote toward the front-facing camera of your smartphone.
- Hold any button on the remote. If the remote is functional, you will see a light emitting from the transmitter on your screen.
- If you do not see a flashing light, replace the batteries.
- Aim the Standard IR Remote at the bottom center of the fan and attempt to control the fan.
- If the fan does not respond to the commands, please give us a call.
