Remote Not Controlling Fan

Is your Standard IR Remote not controlling your fan? Follow these steps to troubleshoot.

1. Make sure the ceiling fan is receiving power. Check your circuit breaker or fuse panel and wall switch for functionality.
2. Test your IR remote’s signal. You can also watch our video here How To Test Your IR Remote Signal.
   1. Point the infrared transmitter at the top of the remote toward the front-facing camera of your smartphone.
   2. Hold any button on the remote. If the remote is functional, you will see a light emitting from the transmitter on your screen.
   3. If you do not see a flashing light, replace the batteries.
3. Aim the Standard IR Remote at the bottom center of the fan and attempt to control the fan.
