Fan is not starting
Your Fan is not starting from your BAFCon controller? Please follow the troubleshooting below.
- Confirm your AirEye unit is getting power.
- Make sure the breaker has not been tripped.
- Confirm that you are getting line voltage (120/208/240) at the fan with a multimeter.
- Make sure you are getting a 0–10V signal from the BAFCon to the fan.
- Remove the control wires, turn the fan speed to 100 percent, and use a multimeter at the 0–10 terminals on the back of the BAFCon to see if the BAFCon is sending voltage to the unit. You should see approximately 4VDC across the control wires.
- No voltage means the BAFCon isn’t outputting. Contact Customer Service for a replacement.
- If the BAFCon is outputting voltage, reattach the wires and test again. If there is no voltage, there is a short in your control wire run. If there is voltage, continue with troubleshooting below.
- Check BAFCon configuration.
- The BAFCon won’t output anything unless it’s told to. Look for the correct control mode selected (0–10V).
- Make sure there are no schedules set for your fan.
- If the BAFCon is tied into automation (Lutron, BMS, etc.), make sure the controller is actually calling it ON.
- Test the fan directly.
- Confirm DC voltage at the multifan adapter. If there is voltage and none of the above resolved your issue, please contact Customer Service.
