Fan is wobbling
The most common causes of wobble are movement of the down rod in the mounting at the ceiling, loose connection of the down rod and motor, blades mounted to the wrong location or a blade loose or overtightened. Environmental factors can also cause wobble.
- The first thing to verify is that the fan is installed within our clearance guidelines. The tips of the blades should have at least 2 feet of clearance horizontally from any obstructions, and the fan should be a minimum of 7 feet up vertically from the floor.
- The next thing to verify is the mounting ball, downtube connection, and blade installation. The easiest way to do this would be to take the fan down and verify these regions of the fan per the install guide.
- Remove and reseat the blades, the downtube, and the mounting ball. Ensure everything is hand tight and installed to spec per the install instructions.
- Also verify the mount to the junction box is fully tightened.
