Fan Not Turning On
The first thing to do if your Haiku L is not turning on is to reseat the light. The light kit is what receives input from the remote, and if it is not properly installed in the fan, it can cause the fan to act erratically in various ways.
- Power Off fan at the switch or breaker
- Remove light - quarter turn counterclockwise
- Power On fan - WARNING - the fan may spin when power is restored. Allow 30 seconds for the fan to fully boot up.
- Power Off fan at the switch or breaker
- Reinsert the light, aligning the Yellow Arrow on the bottom of the Light Kit with the Yellow Arrow on the hub of the Fan motor and turning clockwise until you hear an audible "Click"
- Power On and try the remote
If the fan does not come back on, verify DC power at the red and black wiring harness at the bottom of the downtube. If no DC voltage there, test at the canopy at the ceiling
If you get 12/24v DC power, test the remote per this video.
If you get proper power, and don’t get an IR signal from the remote, you may just need new batteries in the remote to resolve the issue.
If you don’t get 12/24v DC power, take a picture of the serial number of your fan and give us a call for further troubleshooting steps.
