Fan is wobbling
Is your Bison or Mammoth fan wobbling after installation? Follow these troubleshooting steps.
- Lower the wiring cover by depressing the safety catch at the top of the cover with a small allen wrench or similar object. While holding the release button, turn the upper wiring cover to the left to release.
- Verify that we are tight to the junction box at the ceiling. Both screws of the Mounting Bracket should be fully and tightly attached to the junction box.
- Another common cause of a wobble is the connection between the half-ball mount and the downrod at the ceiling. Remove the fan from the bracket. The wings of the metal wedge, which hold the downrod and mount, should be fully seated in the half-ball mount cutout. Tighten the screw and wedge in the top of the ball.
- When returning the half-ball mount to the wiring harness, make sure the cut-out in the half-ball mount is hanging on the post at the rear of the wiring harness.
- Wobble will result if a blade is not properly tightened or is loose. Verify the screw attaching the blade to the hub (the recessed screw in the center of the blade retainer) is fully tightened, and then verify the three screws of the blade retainer for each blade.
