How do I wire my IRH to a thermostat?
Line Voltage Thermostat Wiring
1. SECTION 10: WIRING in the manual holds most of this information.
2. Thermostats are customer supplied.
3. Heaters can be controlled using several methods. Normally thermostats are used to control the heaters, but they can also be controlled by an energy management system.
4. You will need a 120 volt 60hz supply circuit.
5. This will have the line voltage, neutral, and ground wires.
6. The thermostat will get installed to the line voltage of the supply.
7. The heater comes with a two-wire connection, a hot and a neutral. They will get installed to the wires provided by the power supply after the thermostat.
8. If needing to daisy chain, you will continue the run connecting the heaters to the same line and neutral.
9. Maximum of 5 heaters per thermostat.
