Wiring heater to a thermostat
Line Voltage Thermostat Wiring
- SECTION 10: WIRING in the manual holds most of this information.
- Thermostats are customer supplied.
- Heaters can be controlled using several methods. Normally thermostats are used to control the heaters, but they can also be controlled by an energy management system.
- You will need a 120 volt 60hz supply circuit.
- This will have the line voltage, neutral, and ground wires.
- The thermostat will get installed to the line voltage of the supply.
- The heater comes with a two-wire connection, a hot and a neutral. They will get installed to the wires provided by the power supply after the thermostat.
- If needing to daisy chain, you will continue the run connecting the heaters to the same line and neutral.
- Maximum of 5 heaters per thermostat.
