What Is an HVLS Fan?

HVLS stands for high-volume, low-speed. It describes a category of overhead fans with large diameters that rotate at low speeds to move columns of air across large spaces. Unlike small high-speed fans, these industrial fans generate a wide column of airflow that pushes downward and spreads outward across the floor. How Industrial Fans Work

This loop provides air movement in summer and can circulate trapped warm air from the ceiling back down to the occupied zone during winter.

Overhead installation also removes cords and pedestal fans from the floor area.
